At last, the masterpiece debut album from the most ferocious
Indonesian heavy metal band Komunal has been found. Komunal released their
debut album Panorama in 2004 in cassette format through now-defunct Hamson
Killer Records.
Like other monumental album did, the Indonesian heavy metal
scene would never be the same again. The debut album, which contains nine
classic songs, is a mix between stoner doom, punk and heavy metal which was
sounded very bold ahead from their local contemporaries.
They developed their
own style without trying to be someone they are not. After all these years, the
cassette version is pretty hard to find. The price sky-rocketed. Only few had
survived and the master file was lost.
After series of effort to find the master file, Sonic
Funeral Records is proud to announce that we will be working a reissue project of
this masterpiece on 12” vinyl format slated for 2014 release to commemorate
their efforts and mark the 10 years of the album.
The original master file will be re-mastered by Brad
Boatright (Sleep, Sunn O))), From Ashes Rise, High on Fire) of Audiosiege in Portland, Oregon.
We have also appointed the genius Morrg to work his magic to
create the artwork.
Once again, the Indonesian heavy metal scene would never be the same again.
